The Black River Classic is a tournament the scratch bowler cannot afford to miss. John Shreve, Jr. owner of Black River Lanes in Elyria, OH has generously donated lineage for this event, and tournament director Bill Huepenbecker has also agreed to charge no expense fee. Every single dollar paid in entry fees will be returned to the bowlers!

The lane condition will be demanding but fair. First place is guaranteed at $2500, thanks to the generosity of the proprietor, tournament director, and tournament sponsor Joe Firment Chevrolet.

The entry fee is $100 and re-entries are only $80. 5 games are bowled crossing pairs and at least one out of five bowlers will make the cut. All bowlers making the cut will be seeded into a single elimination match-play bracket, and each match will be a two-game total pinfall affair, with the higher score advancing.
