SQUAD CUTS VERSES DAILY CUTS
Tournaments that advertise cuts at a 1 in 6 to 1 in 8 ratio of paid entries
by squad, average out higher.
The extra ones dont' get counted by each division, every squad. In some
tournaments, these entries get lost and not counted.
Example: 22 bowlers in a division per squad, at a 1 in 8 ratio equates to 2
bowlers getting to the finals per Division. 22 bowlers times 5 divisions
equals 110 bowlers in a single squad. This means only 10 would get to the
finals each squad.
This counts 80 of the 110 entries and the other 30 are not counted. With only 20 squads in a tournament with 5 divisions, 600 entries would get lost under these circumstances. (so much for the 1 in 8 ratio). Are squad cuts good for Bowlers!! (You Decide)
TAT CUTS
TAT uses 5 daily cuts and 4 multiple squad cuts. TAT has a 1 in 10 ratio of
paid entries, over 8 adds a bowlers to the finals. With daily cuts per
division of 74, we would take 7 with 78 we would take 8. ( compare that to
the counts above) The extra leftovers are counted to help pay for all the
free tournaments within the TAT (11 separate prize funds with 500 ways to
cash.)
TAT gives the bowler real value with it's discounted entries. Squads average out to under $70 not $175 to $250 each. Dare to Compare.
