FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA – Doane Cole of Chatsworth, CA captured the title at the Columbia 300 Traditions Bowling Classic held at Fountain Bowl in Fountain Valley CA, July 29-30, 2006.
Cole defeated his sponsor, Charles Willison of Woodland Hills, CA, Steve Smith of San Diego, and Steve Gurrieri of Rowland Heights, CA in the tournament championship match to claim a $2,500 first prize. Cole fired a 205 to best Willison (196), Smith (193), and Gurrieri (147).
The tournament paid out more than $5,000 in prize money demonstrating the Columbia 300 commitment to competitive tournament bowling.
The Columbia 300 Traditions Bowling Classic moves on to San Antonio for its fourth tournament, to be conducted at Oak Hills Lanes August 26-27, 2006. The Columbia 300 TBC circuit then heads for a September 9-10 tour stop at St. Clair Bowl in suburban St. Louis.
