Columbia 300 Announces Scratch Bowling Tournament Series

Traditions Bowling Classic (TBC) to Begin in June

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Columbia 300 will host a series of scratch bowling tournaments beginning this June. The Columbia 300 Traditions Bowling Classic tournament series (TBC) will conduct its inaugural event at AMF Christown Lanes in Phoenix, AZ, June 3-4, 2006. The tournament will feature a guaranteed $2,500 first place prize.

Columbia Industries Director of Marketing Tripp Holmgrain believes grassroots marketing efforts, including local competitive tournaments, are key to growing the sport of bowling while showcasing the quality and performance of Columbia 300 products.

“Grassroots tournaments are a great way to support bowling and local pro shops in communities,” says Holmgrain. “Our commitment to the bowling industry and the sport of bowling has never been stronger. Columbia 300 has previously hosted successful tournaments previously and we are confident the Columbia 300 Traditions Bowling Classic TBC efforts will continue that success.”

Columbia 300 has announced the first three TBC tournament stops on a planned trail of twenty to twenty-two annual tournaments. They are: Phoenix, AZ, June 3-4 at AMF Christown Lanes, Orlando, FL, June 24-25 at Colonial lanes, and Fountain Valley, CA July 29-30 at Fountain Bowl. Tournament details and future stops are listed on Columbia 300 website at www.columbia300.com. Future sites will include: Albany, NY, Baltimore, MD, Buffalo, NY, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Detroit, MI, Long Island, NY, Northern New Jersey, Philadelphia, PA, and Portland, OR.

“We’re excited to host the Columbia 300 Traditions Bowling Classic and look forward to providing local bowlers with competitive bowling opportunities of the highest quality, adds Holmgrain.
